Help please

I am pretty sure my computer has a virus. My antivirus program will no
longer work (Norton). I can not search the internet for anything with the
word VIRUS or the program closes. I have tried to reinstall my antivirus and
it willl not allow me.

Anyone offer any ideas?

Navigate to C:/windows/system32/drivers/ETC/hosts.
Open with notepad and delete everything except
127.0.0.1 Local host
Next run and online Virus scan

Have you tried your System Restore? You can use this feature to take your
computer and information back to a date before your computer was infected.
Go to your start menu and find the "Help and Support Center". In the search
bar just go to System Restore. Follow the instructions and your computer
should be good to go.... provided I know exactly what I'm talking about! :o)
