help please....

hi,dont know much bout pc's ....my keyboard will not type certain letters -
some not at all or if it does it will add more on ,eg 'a' shows as
acv......Am currently typing this on the screen displayed keyboard using
mouse pointer.
Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers,didnt work.Nor did system
restore.
Checked 4 loose cord too.Recenty had a hacker take over net connection,pc
shop fixed this and alerted me.wondering if i have been targeted again and
possibley tampered with keyboard settings? wondering coz i couldnt sign n my
winows,had 2 change password number of times b4 let me in.my keyboard is a
Smartoffice keyboard.
taken me so long to tye this,lol......help!

Have you tried a different keyboard?
