Dear all,

I am stuck for a while now, did not found anything clear.
I need to share a folder located on a file server.
Only people belonging to group PRACTICE will be able to store files in that
folder.
Some users of PRACTICE groups are also belonging to Users group

The only thing that people can do with that folder is connected to it and
copying files in. Delete and reading file must be avoid.

How can I set Share and NTFS permission to reach my goal

thnaks for your reply

Hello,

I ma really stuck, I check for your link and I have tryied with exactly
whart they mention based on drop folder. here is what I have done.

First of all, I have read on an article that if an XP workstation is not
connection to a domain, any network connection will be identify as a Guest
account based on FOrceGuest XP scenario, whatever the user and password you
set during the log in procedure. base on that I take care that my initial
share permision are set to Everyone and Full control.

Then from an 2000 system I try to connect to that XP share, and I get error
message "access denied". I have try to add adminitrators group in share
permision same error.

Any idea what is going on?

thanks
