HELP Please. Quicken will not open.

After using Quicken 2006 successfully for a year, suddenly the program won't
open fully.

When I click the Quicken icon, the program logo appears briefly onscreen ...
I hear the 3 note "Quicken opening song" ....... then the logo disappears.

A quick look in Task Manager confirmed that the program is not running.

Have tried at least 20 times with the same result.

Rebooted system does not resolve it.

I reinstalled from disk and nothing changed, so I suspect it's a system
issue.
