Although your question is very confusing, I believe I know what your problem
is.
First maybe you may want to try to look the "msconfig" Do that by going to
Start > Run > msconfig
Then go to startup and see if you can't find My Documents under that. This
may stop My Documents from
loading at starup, Also look under Start > All Programs > Startup and erase
anything that doesn't look recognizable.
Sometimes viruses can sneak by Norton and go to your Startup. Delete any
Screensaver (.scr) Executables (.exe) or JavaScript (.vbs) Files in the
startup folder.
Do a CRTL SHIFT ESC (crtl alt del works too) and view processes. Any that
you do not recognize End them. If you aren't sure do a Search (Start >
Search) All Files then type in the executable ( I.E. explorer.exe (windows
kernel) )
If any that you don't recognize are gone, this SHOULD bring C:\ Properties
back. And also your properties of anything else. What makes this happen is
a file using the same .dll file that the properties command uses. If not
post back a reply or email me. If this doesn't work try doing a system
restore to whenever it worked. Repair install wouldn't work because it just
corrects files, it doesn't delete the ones that are bad. Are their any new
programs that you installed? I am not too sure about RegistryMechanic, I
wouldn't really mess with that anymore If I was you.
Hope this helps

I've have a problem with my "quick launch" not loading, and I can't view
properties of my C Drive...it will close and give me an error - this also is
happening when I try to right click to open a file ie: picture, so...I did a
'repair' on my XP Pro. It didn't fix the problem..and now My Document
folder opens on start up. I've ran my Norton Utilities and fixed the
registry and any other errors that showed up..I also did the same with my
Registry Mechanic. Nothing is working. I submitted a thread on the 13 of
the month..but no one has responded.
