Hi,
Downloading some software, seem to have picked up a virus. Noticed
first that all my shortcuts would not work and a message came up,
saying somthing about software pirates.

Foolishly I have closed down the computer, now it just goes around in
circles.
Keeps going back to the Boot from CD screen to the screen with green
writing then to the count down to switch off then back to the boot from
CD screen. Have pressed F8 and gone into safe load, but nothing changes,
just carries on going around. Please HELP, desperate, any clues at all.

Thanks Dave

well, assuming your on another comp. typing this, pull the plug first....
can u get into system bios? press tab while it starts up... if you can get
in there, you should be fine... tell us first then we'll tell you what to do.

are you gonna reply.. i need to know if you can get into your system bios. If
so, then you will be able to disable the hard drive from booting from there.
Once you do that, you should be able to make your computer boot from the D:/
(CD) drive and then, as far as I know, the only thing you can do is format.

what software were you downloading? wanna make sure i dont make the same
mistake

Solution is simple, don't download ANYTHING that you don't know EXACTLY
what it is. In other words, don't do stupid stuff on the internet. There
is so much crapware out there it would be impossible to have a concise
list of them all. H3ll, even big buisiness in the a/v market can't even
keep up with it all.
