Help--PC Keeps Shutting Down....

Hello,
I am running Compaq Mini Tower 5420-US
AMD 1700 1.47Ghz, 1Gb Mem
WinXpHome/ver5.1/ Build 2600/SP2
PnP Monitor/Pro Savage 64Mb Video
Master Hd Maxtor 80Gb
Slave Hd Seagate 20Bg
Partition is 5Mb
Comcast Broadband using a Linksys Wireless-G 2.4GHz
54Mbps-Mod WRT54G Router with a Surfboard Modem (Motorla) Supplied by
Comcast.
This is the MAIN PC, and there is one connected via wireless downstairs, for
my roomate, and I have a Clone Laptop Made by Huge-Bee P4/ 3.7Ghz Processor,
1GbDDR-Ram, 20GbHd.
Now the PC that is downstairs runs fine, NO lock-ups, Crashes, or ANY
problems of any kind, and the same goes for my Laptop, but the Compaq, will
intermittently shutdown, and go to the Compaq Logo on the screen.
Sometimes I can use it all day with NO problems, and other times it will
only go for 10 mins at a time, then I have to shut it down and restart it.
I am using it now to type this.
Now yesterday I tried to run a Full System Scvan on it using Norton AV 2005,
and it kept shutting down, although it did let me run Win doctor, and Disk
Doctor....
Now I am at a total Loss, and need any advise I can get.
