Hello:

I keep getting the same 6 e-mail messages. This is after calling Norton and
Comcast re receiving the same 3 e-mail messages (538 of them since midnight
Dec 3!). Of course, it was not their problem, so it must be Outlook.

Any thoughts.

It sounds like you have an email message with a large
attachment that is bogging down your account. What
happens with the email is once you have connected to your
ISP and clicked on the send/receive button if the
connection is lost it will start over again until it can
pull all of your messages in 1 sweep. You will need to
log on to your account on the internet side (not through
you outlook)and view your message that is next in line
after the 3 you keep receiving. I'll bet it's an email
with a very large attachment that's not able to come
through. If you read/view it on the internet side you can
then delete it and retreive the rest of your messages
through Outlook.

Good Luck, it's not as hard as it sounds!

Is it spam?

I'm pretty sure that since Comcast took over for ATT, I've gotten the
same spam 538 times. Multiply that by the dozens of reoccuring pitches
and that pretty much dominates my mailbox.

I'm only half joking, you know. Comcast has a distinct administration
issue when it comes to handling email. I received virtually NO spam
under ATT, but when Comcast took over, I immediately began getting
spam ... and lots of it. Yea, 538 copies of the same tripe sounds about right.
