My computer has been "upgraded" by my company and now Outlook express
will not allow .jpg's to be seen when they are attached to email
Under Tools, Options, Security I looked at the "does not allow
attachments to be opened which could contain viruses" and it is not
checked.
What do I do to get this feature working again?

I answered your earlier post, but here it is again...

In OE, Try; Tools, Options, Security, Uncheck "Do Not allow attachments",
OK...Hope
this helps...

OOPS...sorry, first off, it WASN'T you earlier, and secondly, you said you
already checked to see if the box was checked, and it wasn't...Try "Bruces
advice to you in your post a few lines down...

Tools>Options>Read tab. Uncheck: Read all messages in plain text... Sorry
about that.

Outlook Express, at least the version installed here [I'm a XP Greenhorn]
uses IE's security zone settings and you may need to have a look there and
see what's permitted.

Another possibility, or at least I've read about that one but not found out
yet how it can be done, is to configure a path rule [Administrators only] to
inhibit the opening of certain file types in attachments.

Since I've got the German version of XP the correct English terms may be
different by the way 8-}

Cheers,
Juergen
