J JE McGimpsey Oct 15, 2007 #3 I hesitate to answer, since merged cells are the spawn of the devil and shouldn't be used at all. Not even once. I don't have WinXL in front of me right now, but in XL04, I can use CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-M.
