I'm running Windows XP Pro. For some unknown reason my Help program has
stopped working. When I click on Help, I have disk activity for a few
seconds, then nothing. Is there a way to reinstall just the help section of
XP, or maybe repair it?

Try this. Go to Start | Run and type
helpctr -regserver

I tried both and now when I try to run the help program I get the error
"Windows can't find file Helpctr.exe) I can find it, but where is it
supposed to be? If I knew, I'd just copy it over.

It's supposed to be here:
C:\Windows\PCHealth\HelpCTR\Binaries

The First Question Of Troubleshooting: what changed between the time things
worked and the time they didn't?

And the Second Question of Windows Troubleshooting: what is the
malware/virus status of the machine? If you think it is clean, what
programs (and versions) did you use to determine this?
