Help no EXE file working !

My computer shutdown the other day with a warning message, but I didn't look at it fast enough. I can not open any of the Icons on the desktop, plus the Icons on lower right side went away, can't get them back, my norton was one and I can not open norton , did a Norton internet file check came up clean.I can get to internet sites through the address bar, but can not download anything to try to fix the problem, another thing is that I can not format windows xp from disk it isn't on the disk. Can not go to bios during start up with wireless keybroad, it needs to sign on first before the keybroad will work. Any help on this subject will be greatly appricated

I have seen others on her to with same type of problem but i can not load from CD because it will not take exe file i guess, but will read jpegs, and text on CD

You could try the exe file association fix

You may need to use another computer to download the little file.
