Help needed with XP Professional problem

Can anyone help me??? Since upgrading from Windows ME to
XP Professional, my computer freezes when using the
internet. It never did this in ME but now everytime I use
the internet its seems to do it. It does not give me any
warning or does not happen when i do certain things. It
can happen after I have been connected for 5 seconds or
an hour!! It just happens without warning at unknown
times! Please help me!!! If possible an email reply would
be good to (e-mail address removed).

Impossible to tell with so little information, but you should do the
usual Windows troubleshooting: 1) scan with current antivirus program
using updated definitions; 2) remove spyware with tools such as Spybot
S&D and/or Ad-aware; 3) delete temporary and Temporary Internet Files;
4) do a Disk Cleanup; 5) stop unnecessary programs and/or services from
running at startup; 6) or call a good local computer repair person and
have them come over and put things in order for you.
