Help needed with Windows XP

My computer had a lot viruses after i cleaned them with norton but the
computer was still going real slow. I did a complete restore. After the
restore, windows starting loading like it does when you start the computer
like with its new. Its gets through windows set up then at the last screen
where you hit finish to get to windows , it just stays there. Tried
rebooting two times and still got stuck on the last page. Hit F8 on reboot
and clicked restore windows to a previous time that it was working at. Now
it justs keeps flashing the the windows first page with the windows logo on
it. What can i do to get windows load all the way.

Hit F8 on startup and select safe mode if you can get to safe mode run an
anti spyware like spybot S&D and ad-aware
