Help needed Virus?

*Pl4eas4e hb4el8p!!! This is what it is doing to my script - multiple letters and numbers - what is it? ciould only type this by deleting the numbers and letters in between e.g. ciojuld ionly ty8p4e thbios hby d4el4etiong thb4e njumhb4ers and l4ett4ers ion hb4et3w4e4en
 
McAfee hbjut iot n4e4eds ju8pdationg - translated - but it needs updating in last few days and I can't type in password
 
You might have Speech activated. Try turning off your microphone. If that is
what's causing the problem it's because the microphone is converting what it
hears into text while you type.

I had a keyboard last year that was working perfectly but I could not
understand why it printed garbage all of a sudden. I don't think the bottle
of beer that I spilled on it would affect it that way ! LOL

quite possibly be plainly and simply that her keyboard is worn out. I had
the same trouble 6 months ago. Bought and plugged in a new keyboard. Problem
resolved.
 
Thanks to all who responded to my plea for help -especially Roger. It was a virus. And having purchased yesterday MCAfee Internet Security Suite can only sing its praises. Hadn't realised with my previous virus protection that the Outlook Express protection had not been enabled. Security suite + instant updates tells me about everything - warns me when and who is trying to access my computer/files, suggests which ones I block, filters spam, 'pounces' on the viruses and 'sees them off' etc, etc and solved my problems. Brilliant!
