It seems to be common sense that M.S. would provide quick, easy, methods to
import and export such things as address books, e-mail files, and favorites
from all of their internet programs. Win xp, like previous editions, likes
to import but seems to not want the user to export the personal information.

I cannot find a way to archive my M.S. Outlook address book to an external
file as a backup in the event I have a catastrophic failure of my computer
or just want to be able to reinstall this information on a new computer.

I would appreciate any help that anyone could provide.

Thanks,

Gary

Download backup addin from:

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/officeupdate/CD010798351033.aspx

or if you just want to back up contacts, export as a comma or tab
separated text file.
