Any advice on good disk image programs? I have a HD near death, but I have a
slave drive I'd like to make an image to so I don't have to spend an enormus
amount of time restoring my system. Any ideas on good software -- and free
would be nice too!!

Something as sophisticated as disk imaging doesn't come free. And if a free imaging program were available, I wouldn't trust it.

Look at True Image 9.0 Home from Acronis. I rely on it.

If your hard drive is failing, don't spend time researching software and then learning how to use it. Bring your PC (or the hard disk alone) to a professional and have them image the entire disk to your new hard disk.

www.bootitng.com has disk imaging software with a fully functional 30
day trial period.

Good luck
