help me with asp

can someone plz tell me how to get an asp page working on my computer... i have front page 2003 and i copied a basic time and date line of code into my page and it doesnt work.. doesnt frontpage have a personal web server and if it does how do i use it properly!!!
 
Whats your Operating system?

Most versions of windows have IIS or personal web server either available on
the CD as an option or download.

XP home however does not allow a web server.

If you have a host that allows asp, test live there.

FrontPage does not come with a web server, but ASP requires a web server to
work. And "doesn't work" doesn't describe anything about your problem. What
exactly did you do, and what exactly happened?

If you're running Windos XP Pro you can install the IIS web server through
Control Panel \ Add/Remove Software | Add/Remove Windows Components. I
believe the same was true with Win 2000 Pro as well. Windows XP Home edition
does not support a web server.

Windows 9x users can download the NT 4 Option Pack from MS which includes
the PWS 4 (stripped down IIS 4 essentially).
