I am trying to recover a .pst file from a corrupt hard drive. The only
corrupted sector is where the outlook.pst file is stored. I have tried to
take the outlook.bak file and convert it to a .pst file and import it into
outlook. I have retrieved some of the data, however a majority of the data
is still missing. Is there a way to convert the pst data into another
format... Copy and paste through a file.... save that file and import it back
into outlook?

I am in serious need of this info!!!

Thank you very much in advance!

Qu'elle domage!

There's no special file associated with Outlook whose file type is ".bak".
If you have one, it's because you created it manually. It's not anything
Outlook produced automatically. Also, never import a PST. Open it with
File>Open>Outlook Data File (or Personal Folder File, delending on your
version).

Then you should have been making regular backup all along. If your
information is so valuable and you don't have a good backup, there are
companies that specialize in recovering data from damaged media. They have
the tools to handle the corrupted sector.
