Ryan

I was here before for some help. They did give me the
idea of restoring my hard drive. Well instead i
reformatted my hard drive. After all that work of
reformatting i still have the same problem. My computer
freezes about 10min into a game. I have no idea what i
can do now. I would be great if someone can help me out.
If you need more info just give me a call at 651-260-
5687. I could really use some help. Thank you so much

Here's me email too. (e-mail address removed)

It could well be a problem with the game itself but you are really asking
for problems by posting your phone number and e-address to a newsgroup!
Expect a can full of SPAM and unimaginable unwanted phone calls!

LOL JAX

It's not the games because it works on my friends
computer with no problem. And i am not really worried
about SPAM. it's a easier way to contact me.

NEVER post your phone number or real E-Mail address! You're now on
everyone's spam list and will probably receive who knows how many
sales calls.

Freezing may be related to a hardware failure. Formatting or
re-installing the OS is not going to resolve the problem - as you've
already found out.

First thing to check is cooling - Is the system running hot? Are all
your fans working? CPU fan? Case fan? Power supply fan?

Check system memory. Best way is by substitution or take the memory
to a reputable computer repair shop and have them check it out.

Make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your video card,
sound card, and any other devices that are installed. Check for an
update to your motherboard BIOS. Those are just some ideas for you
to work on.

Good luck.

Ryan - Take the cover off the computer case and see if it runs without
quitting. That will allow it to run cooler. Could be an overheat problem as
CS suggested.

.
Check the fan on your video card. There's a very good
chance it's the video card fan. This fan makes very little
noise and can be difficult to determine if it is actually
working. Using a flashlight restore power and you should
be able to see if fan is working.

My CPU is running at 141degrees F. I don't know how that
is. My case is running at 84 degrees. I have no idea how
this is for a computer. If you could let me know it would
be great.
