My C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\OWMngr.exe is infected with a
trojan virus. My Norton has it quarinteened but it
recommends to delete and reinstall. Does anyone know which
file I need to look for on my original discs to reinstall
it?

You daft twat! That file was the virus, but go ahead and get it back if you need it that badly!

Don't be ignorant. Name-calling is truly the last resort of the tiny mind.

And, incredibly, there really are people in this world that are NOT
flawless, as you believe yourself to be. We call them normal. You should
try it.

Oh - and before you vomit up another choice morsel, be aware that you will
get no further response from me. (Which I'm sure means - in your language -
that you should immediately fire off another shot.) <sigh>

Hi, Debra.

A Google search for "owmnger.exe" turned up 106 hits; the first one led me
to this page:
http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/Darnit.htm

This is MVP Sandi Hardmeier's page she calls
"BUGS, GLITCHES & STUFFUPS"

About the 3rd item from the top is her instructions for getting rid of this
Trojan. Look for the caption, "dothesearch / owmngr.exe / searchseekfind /
fastfind.org / sysreg.exe / ttps.exe"

Among other things, she says, "Please feel free to tell me about your own
experiences with this hijackware - it is NEW and its BIG. I'm getting more
hits from people trying to get rid of owmngr than any other problem."

I'm not sure that email link will work from my post; it's better if you go
read her page first, anyhow.
