Plz somene walk me through this and get me started w/ e-mails what is the
po3 stm thing? how and were do i get those? my internet provider is verizon

How did you send this message ? From someone's computer ?
Anyway, this is what you need. I don't know about Verizon. I'm from Canada,
and I use Cogeco as my internet service provider (ISP). Call verizon and ask
them the folowing infos :
1. Your e-mail address
2.Ask them if they store mail on a POP3 or IMAP server
3.Name of your in-coming e-mail server, such as pop.(example).com
4.Name of your out-going e-mail server, such as smtp.(example).com
5.Your e-mail username, which usually is the same as you e-mail address.
6. Your password
All of the above are to be provided for by your ISP, you don't get to
choose.
Arm with those info, you can then set up an account with Windows Mail or
Windows Live Mail. Just fill in the info as you are prompted. That's it.

For example, if you get any error messages when trying to use it,

For some of the questions we are likely to need answers for, you
might as well include the answers before we need them.

For example, what if any antivirus programs do you have?

Are you missing the icon that make Windows Mail easy to start?

What email provider are you trying to use? Many people choose
their internet provider as their email provider also, since most
internet accounts include one or more email accounts.
