I have just reinstalled Windows XP on my Dell Laptop.

It is now telling me that I have no modem installed.

Does anyone know how I may put this right?

Thanks

Go to Start/Run, and type DEVMGMT.MSC , highlight the modem device, Action
menu, "Uninstall", then restart Windows, to find the device drivers again
automatically.

When you re-installed your Windows XP, did you also reinstall the Dell Drivers CD.
On some Dell computers, the Modem driver was on a separate disk. Do you have that disk?
Install the drivers for your modem from one of these disks.
If not, go to http://support.dell.com and put in your Service Tag (or Express Service Code) numbers
and go to download drivers.
There you should find the drivers for the modem installed in your Dell.
Download and install the driver.

Thanks a lot
