After I dl,ed and installed Framework I received two changes to my XP home
system.

First, I am the only computer admin registered with no other profiles.
Before the installation of Framework 1.1 at cold boot up the system opened
directly to the desktop.
After the installation of framework the system boots up to the Welcome
screen and I have to click on my profile icon to continue.
In internet explorer I am unable to delete the Tuesday icon in the History
list.

Any suggestions??

Thanks

Thank you Mark. Your solution was clear and to the point. Besides it
worked:-))

The second problem is strange as whenever Tuesday appears in the sidebar of
IE I cannot delete it.
Click on it and click delete, no chance occurs. Click on any other day and I
can delete it.

Only happens when Framework 1.1 is installed.

Hi FRG
Glad it helped. As for the history issue I've not come across that behavior
before, are you able to delete the Tuesday if you go to C:\Documents and
Settings\<YOURUSER>\Local Settings\History? If not you could attempt to
clear your entire history and see if that fixes this problem happening in
the future. To do that go into Internet Options in Internet Explorer (Tools
Internet options), then Clear History on the general tab.

I don't think that the .net framework would be the cause behind it as it
makes no changes to Internet Explorer or your history. When you say it only
happens when the Framework is installed have you seen the problem go away
after removing it, or is this just what you've observed since installing it?

Mark:

Yes, this happens only when Framework is installed. It goes away when
Framework is uninstalled. As per your suggestion I went to tools and options
and was able to delete it there. Only when using the Histories sidebar can I
not delete Tuesday.

Interesting.

I do not use IE to much mainly Moz Firefox so its not to much of concern but
for a mental challenge.
