Help! I'm crashing while burning

I encountered a power surge during a cd burn and now when I try to copy a cd
on NERO or WMP 9 it will copy two or three songs and then the entire system
crashes.
Can anyone help me with this overwhelming problem?

G'day Barb, sorry to hear about the power surge but it
sounds like you have to replace your power supply or if
you have already done that it might be a good time to
update your bios and replace internal battery as they
could now be "shot" and give errors like these.Let me
know how you go.
