Please help me, I recieved a computer for xmas that my dad had purchased and not used. It is a nice new system but I went to load up and it gave me a system error that read: Windows 2000 Profession cannot start because the file \winnt\system32\config\systemced is missing or corrupt. It says to use the start up disk to correct this problem but, I have no start up dosk and my dad claims that one did not come with the unit. What do I do? I cannot go into anything not even in safe mode. I am unable to retore using the last good configuation in the restore console. Can I get a copy of the startup disk/recovery disk via download? Has anyone seen this before? Please email me, I was so looking forward to using my new computer.

This link might help:

You should also get yourself a Win2000 CD while you can. Without it, your
installation will be short-lived.
