You say that there was a virus but you were able to get ti back working -
but it doesn't seem like things are working, are they? Why are you trying
to remove SP2?

it shows up on my add and remove programs but my computer says it dosnt have
it so does windows update because it shows up as one of the updates i need

What happens with the security center and firewall that you say they " don't
work"? What exactly happens or doesn't happen? Any messages, items grayed
out, what specifically?

Jupiter gave you some good links. Here are some others.

Windows XP Service Pack 2 Setup program is not completed successfully

Another option is to try a repair install with an installation CD that has
SP2 on it. If your installation CD is at a lower service pack level you can
create one with SP2 slipstreamed into it. If you need info on how to do
that let me know.

If all else fails, the system may be so messed up what it might need is a
clean install. Depending on how good your skills are in cleaning an
infected system, are you 100% certain it's not still compromised? A clean
install, removing all the partitions, then creating new ones and installing
will ensure that.

The security center says it has been stoped or not started and to restart
the
computer I do that but I get the same thing over again, the firewall wont
start it just says windows cannot start firewall how do I do the cd with
sp2
slipstreamed into it if that dosnt work ill do a clean install Ive backed
up
my important files so it might not hurt starting from scratch.

Here are the links for slipstreaming. Autostreamer makes it easier.
