Help!!! How to use the "Call Contact" at OUTLOOK

Dear ALL:

i now use DELL Precision M60 Notebook,
When i used the "call contact" to call somebody.
when the calling is connected, i just can hear the parter,
but the parter can't not hear me.

WHY???
 
does your modem support outlook? is sound enabled on it?

when you open the dialer to initiate the call, click dialing options - check
the connect using line setting.

yes,it's default setting, "connnect using line" is setted with Modem which
installation on my computer. but i don't know how to set the "line
properties"
It's the defautl setting, i never change it.
