HELP!!! How do I set up Windows Mail

I am trying to set up Windows Mail but I am using hotmail and it will not let
me. Do not understand why since it appears to be associated with Windows
Live but any help anyone can give me such as what email actually works so I
can set it up and get my resume sent out would be greatly appreciated. Thank
you so much!!!
