help help! key problems

When I press some keys more than one character appears. They act as separate
characters so I can go back and fix what i type. It all started when I wiped
off my keybpoard. I've tried pressuing function/number lock to reset it, and
i've also checked to make sure that all my launguages are set to English US.
What else can do?

Amber, Hi, you say you wiped of your keyboard, does that mean you
spilled something on it?
New keyboards are real cheap these days and really good. That is all i
can think off.
