Yesterday I found out that I had the Anitexe virus on my
computer, and of course it affected Access. I have two
linked tables. When I try to open the tables now I get
an error message

Unrecognized database format 'C:\Documents and Settings
\ All Users \ Document \ my file name

How can I unlink these tables and FIX them

That's odd. From what I read about AntiEXE at
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/antiexe.html ,
the virus shouldn't attack an .mdb file, only an .exe. Is it possible
that it attacked one of the executables that make up Access? Are you
sure that your problem is due to the operation of this virus? How did
you disinfect your computer?

If you've gotten rid of the virus, you might try uninstalling and
reinstalling Access, to see if it's the application itself that is
damaged, rather than your database.
