Help! Had to reinstall Windows 98 and then XP after installing sv

Help! I installed service pack 2 and then had to reinstall Windows after my
computer crashed. I've reinstalled '98 and am trying to reinstall XP
upgrade. But, it shows I have a blocking issue -- other operating systems
found. I can't figure out what it's talking about since '98 and XP are the
only ones ever on this computer. Is it picking up old XP downloads?

I suggest trying to 'manually' uninstall sp2 from the old OS files.

Boot to setup CD, and press "r" for Recovery Console Run the command :

cd c:\windows\$NtServicePackUninstall$\spuninst
then run:
BATCH SPUNINST.TXT
