Hi,

In my programs folder, I have a folder for microsoft frontpage. It's an
empty folder and I've never installed frontpage so I don't know how it got
there. It's not in the add/remove programs and I'm not able to just delete
it. When I try, I get a message saying that it's in use by another file or
person. I've tried to delete it in safe mode, which I'm able to do, but
when I restart windows in normal mode it comes right back.

So, how can I delete this file?

Thanks,
Alan

Hi,

I have the same folder. I did a search to see if it was a commo
problem and I found this forum. The only reason I think it's strang
is the folder is called "microsoft frontpage", in lowercase letter
(while everything else Microsoft has correctly capitalized the firs
letter(s).

Also, though I do understand Microsoft is quirky about it's progra
destinations, but I always thought when it came to Front Page, it wa
located in "../Program Files/Microsoft/Front Page/"? The folder
have, and I'm assuming Alan too, is located "..Program Files/microsof
frontpage/".

XP experts, is this fine?

Thanks for reading!

C:\Program Files\microsoft frontpage is a protected system folder and cannot
be deleted. Same with C:\Program Files\xerox.

What they're for, I have no idea.
