Hi All,

I recently deleted localNRD.dll from my computer. It was the cause of the
popup ads I was getting when using IE. But after I deleted it along with
other adware files, my frequently used programs menu in the Start Menu does
not work anymore. It is blank. I tried the properties and the menu is
enabled to show up to 6 frequently used programs. However, it is blank. Can
anyone suggest any possible cause for this?? I would really appreciate it.
Thanks!!

Run these malware cleaners:

1. Lavasoft Ad-Aware - http://www.lavasoftusa.com
2. SpyBot Search & Destroy - http://www.safer-networking.org
3. CWShredder 2.0 - http://www.intermute.com/spysubtract/cwshredder_download.html

Update 1 & 2 before running a scan.

Clean-up Windows Startup: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/startup.htm

Then, run a full system virus scan with fully updated definitions.

Free Online Virus Scanners and Security Tests:
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/scanners.htm

Next, disable the two policies which may be preventing the MFU list from being added to Start Menu. See:

Start Menu Most Frequently Used programs (MFU) list is empty:
