I need help formatting my drive c which has Windows XP. I used the XP boot
disk to do it but nothing changes after I formatted.

Also is the boot disk allows one to partition the drives right? If possible,
how to? Thanks!

Kayo, you need to boot with the XP CD, to do all this.
Go into your BIOS and set the CD driver to boot before the hard drive does.
All the tools are there for deleting and creating partitions.
Format using NTFS and install XP after formatting.

This is what I keep saying the XP CD does not format the drive clean. In
order to accomplish this you need to donwload a (FKA) LLF disk from the HD's
manufacture and Low Level Format the drive. Here are some manufactures;

Warning this WILL wipe the drive clean and you will NOT be able to recover
data off of the drive BACKUP YOUR DATA
