hi to everyone, I'm going to remove my MSN Messenger from a Laptop ot
install into another PC, but I don't know how to copy, or export, various
..gif images several contacts of my list have sent to me.

Is there any folder or some setting files where these are located in?

Thanks to everybody for help.

See you soon
A.

Greetings,

All this received data is stored in Documents and Settings\Username\Application
Data\Microsoft\MSN Messenger\anumber. Where username is your Windows username and anumber is
the 4-byte integer representation of your e-mail address (just go through them all if you
have multiples).

Also, most of the files will show up as .DAT files; they are really just PNGs (openable with
any decent graphics program, including Paint) with the exception of the animated emoticons
which will be GIFs.

Now, you can't just copy over this folder to another PC and have it work, you'll have to copy
the various subfolders (UserTiles, CustomEmoticons, etc.) and then add each back manually
yourself.
