HELP!!!! Error Message, don't know how to fix!

anytime i start a program(some programs dont come up after this, some do) i
get this error message, "The Application or DLL
C:\WINDOWS\system32\DINPUT8.dll is not a valid windows image. Please check
this against your installation diskette."

Start
Run
Type "sfc /scannow" without the quotes - note the space
Press Enter
Insert CD when prompted
