Help disserattion lost

Hi
Saving a works document all day with save button . Realise trying to save on
to a CD that alreay has stuff on it so couldn't write on it the changes have
not been saved. I noticed aballoon pop up saying files waiting to be written
yo CD where can I find this folder on the drive?

Never EVER try to save a word document directly to any drive other than
your HDD. That is the fastest way to a corrupt document known to man.
