Help! - Connection Problems

I have a major dilemma! One of my home PC's no longer chooses to recognise my
internet connection. I can successful dial up the IP, and establish the
connection, but Windows refuses to believe that it is there, claiming I'm not
connection at all, even though it clearly shows me that in the toolbar that
it is.

I'm in major need of a solution!

Can anyone help?

thingamajig?
