Sometimes the best method is to re-install the application over itself (or
using it's repair option if it has one) and then uninstalling it. .LOG files
are often deleted by automated "clean up tools" of the same flavor that run
the "registry cleaning" stuff... Silly applications really. I'd re-install
it and then uninstall it. If that's no good then you'll need to remove the
entries manually probably which means removing any listings in the registry,
removing any files, changing back any file associations, and then removing
the name from the add/remove programs listing.

Galen,
Thank you for your reply. I actually tried reinstalling the program but the
installation errored. How do I go about the other method you suggested--

Some programs have an uninstall option in a sub menu you can access from the
Start Menu.

If there's nothing there either, you can probably just delete the folder
it's in-- likely in your C:\Program Files directory.

Set a restore point though before you try that...

Well, first you start in C:\Program Files and remove the folder. Then you
look for file associations: Start > run > type "control folders" without the
quotes > hit enter > click file types tab > look for and reset anything.
Then you want to kill it from startup just in case:

Pesky Startup Apps:

Then, if need be, you can root about in the registry - Start > run > regedit
find > enter the app name > find and delete anything > F3 find the next >
etc...

Then you can hopefully go to uninstall it and it will tell you it can't and
ask if you want to remove it from the list.

Before you do this:
