In Windows Explorer, if I right-click my CDROM drive, and then click
Properties, the name of the drive is displayed, but I am unable to change
it. How can I change the name that is displayed for this drive? Thanks.

In the registry, navigate to;
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer
Under Explorer, make a new key and name it DriveIcons.
Under the DriveIcons key, make a new key and name it whatever letter the
drive is, such as E or F or G.
Under the drive letter key, make a new key and name it DefaultLabel. Enter
the name you want for your drive in the value data of the DefaultLabel key.
Close the registry and reboot. That should do it.
