Help! Cannot erase file!

Hi!
I want to delete a videofile on my computer but it just
keeps saying that some other person or some other program
is using it and it cannot delete the file. It's a .avi
file, 717 mB, I have Windows XP. I have shutdown Kazaa and
windows media player so they aren't using the file. I have
tried to delete it in the "felsäkert läge" - whats that
called in english, fault-proof? Default perhaps? But that
didn't work either. What shall I do?

open the HARD DRIVE(in my computer)(rightclick on
drive/open) once open do a serch for that file, once
shown, rightclick on it,(something like)sow file its in
then delete it from that file. it should work

Sorry, didnt quite understand what you meant. I opened "my
computer", opened "harddrive D" (where the file is), then
searched the file - but what do you mean by "rightclick on
it,(something like)sow file its in
then delete it from that file".
