Help! backed up outlook, now have two identical mailboxes

I backed up all my emails - great. Then went to open the .pst file to make
sure all were there. Now have two duplicate folders and cant seem to remove
one! Could someone explain how to do this (simple please!) thank you
 
Sorry, forgot to say we use googlemail. so currently I have two accounts (!)
and my other half just the one, it is my duplicate I need to remove which
should just be a .pst back up that I was checking was all o.k.

Right click at the top of the folder tree of the second .pst file and
choose "close".
