Heya,

Is anyone here using a Wyse 9450? I'd like to know what is connected to
the second IDE connector. The flash RAM is on the first, but the second
which i'd imagined would be empty has somekind of adapter in it with a
ribbon cable leading away under the motherboard.

Thanks in advance.

Hardeep.

Hi Hardeep,

What kind of adapter is that.Normally the second IDE shouldn't contain
anything. Can you read what is written over that adapter !

Can; rease anything on it really. It's in a bit of a tight spot as it
is. Just a small baord with a ribbon cable comming off of it. I'd say
it was a 3.5" ro 2.5" IDE adaptor, but what would be the point as the
other end of the cable just leads under the board, and to presumabaly
nothing.

Hardeep,

The 9450 is capable of accepting a Sidecar with a CD ROM or Floppy.
The ribbon cable you see in other IDE header is run to connect that
Sidecar and is not actually used unless the Sidecar is added to the
unit. I am guessing you don't have the Sidecar which means you cable
is not connected to anything.
