help and support not working

I reinstalled XP home after trying out Linux, which
erased my XP totally and now, after doing a complete
reinstall on XP, when I type in a search topic in Help
and Support, such as "shortcuts", nothing happens, it
just hangs up and doesn't move.

I'm wondering what I can do to restore my Help and
Support to my PC so that I can use it.
