Hi, does anyone have a command to re-register the 'Help and Support' tool in
Windows and Vista. Something like regsvr c:\windows\system32...?

thanks

Hi ... Try this , right click on the "Start" then properties , Now click the
customize and see the you have a check mark on " help and support , If not ?
then do so , click apply and see if you now have it , Also if you turn the
service off for it ? then you will need to reset it to start or manual

Thanks, TOAO.

What happens if help and support is not on the administrative services list?

Thanks,
D-man

My guess would be someone did some modifying with that operating system were
they removed altogether , I have seen an illegal copy like that once before
myself , Though this is just my opinion and it can be something else
altogether

Yeah, that was clever. Thanks.

I noticed that the service for help and support is missing on the Vista
computer? Do you know if on Vista, it is listed as something else? thanks

Yeah, thanks, that is pretty clever.

Do you know why Vista does not have the help and support service under
services? I'll keep looking but I do not see it. Thanks

FYI there are Vista specific newsgroups.

microsoft.public.windows.vista.administration_accounts_password
microsoft.public.windows.vista.file_management
microsoft.public.windows.vista.games
microsoft.public.windows.vista.general
microsoft.public.windows.vista.hardware_devices
microsoft.public.windows.vista.installation_setup
microsoft.public.windows.vista.mail
microsoft.public.windows.vista.music_pictures_video
microsoft.public.windows.vista.networking_sharing
microsoft.public.windows.vista.performance_maintenance
microsoft.public.windows.vista.print_fax_scan
microsoft.public.windows.vista.security

once again being extremely rude.
since you also answer questions in the vista general group, you know the answer.
but think you are too goody shoes to respond simply because the individual posted in to you the wrong news group.

I was under the impression that the prime goal was to be helpful and answer questions and not to NET NANNY VIRTUAL SPANK people with questions.

it would be more courteous to answer and then refer to the proper news group for future questions.
