Help and Support Center "DVD player update" advertisement

I installed Windows XP a week ago. Now I get an advertisement in my face for a DVD player or something in the windows help and support center everytime I llog in. How do I stop this irritating message ? If I want a DVD player I am well able to find and install it myself

I do not appreciate this kind of adverting harassment with a product I have actually purchased

What you are getting is spam, I suspect you may have malware that is
spawnning this advertisement.
Try downloading, installing and updating the free
spyware removers from the links below. Run both of them.
