Help -- Admin has no file rights!

For some reason neither my local admin account or any domain admin can
access a group of folders on a certain folder.. It would appear that the
admin group has been stripped of all rights; not sure how it happened but it
happened.. How can I reset rights on all folders\files so admin has rights
once again; this is killing me!

in the security settings, you need to take ownership of the files and then
you can do what you want. Go to where the permissions are and click
advanced and click to take ownership of the files
