Right - very new to this, attempting to learn AD as i go along, but
just hit a major problem.

It’s a single server on 2003, and I want to set run ad as HECTIC on
users.hectic.tv

Just in case this’ll help anyone, the ip is 81.27.97.127, nameservers
ns.inec.net / ns2.inetc.net

Basically, I installed AD, restarted, and now the dns is wrong, and
users.hectic.tv isn’t resolving to anything, and I can’t log in
through RDC, or do anything much at all.

I have tried to add the various _ms../_ldap style zone file entries,
but i’m really not confident they’re doing the trick.

In short, i’d like to get AD up and running, and get back in the
server.

Anything else that’d be helpful to know, just ask.

Just in case anybody knows, I’m sure you’ll understand it more than
me.

If I go ahead and change the dns servers to something like zoneedit -
then will AD go ahead and update the entries and... make it work?
