i connected headphones to my computer to listen to music
but nothing happened and no sound is coming out of my
headphones

There should be a small button that you can rotate for
volume increase right next to where you plug in the
headphones. Also, you can plug your headset into the
soundcard on the back of your PC, next to where you plug
in your speakers. Try them there to check if they are
working properly.
